Steven Woolwine is an accomplished human capital executive with more than twenty years of experience across a number of industries, including hospitality. He specializes in leadership development, mergers and acquisitions, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compensation planning and design. He is currently responsible for driving the business strategy and alignment of human capital as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for AECOM, a global management support and technical services corporation.
Steve originally joined AECOM in 2011 as part of the URS acquisition of Apptis, Inc. where he served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Recruiting. While at Apptis, Steve was the HR project leader of the merger and acquisition transaction throughout the life cycle of the deal, including due diligence, developing HR solutions and planning and executing the integration phases.
Prior to joining Apptis, Steve was the Vice President of Human Resources for Stanley Associates, Inc., where he played a key role in the due diligence and integration of three acquisitions, its initial public offering process, and in the implementation of its Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and applicant tracking system. Additionally, he was an instrumental team member in Stanley attaining and retaining Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For distinction for three consecutive years.
Prior to Stanley, Steve worked as an HR consultant for Willmott & Associates after serving for several years as a general manager for Washington's award winning Pizzeria Paradiso chain.
Steve also serves as Chairman of the Strategic Human Capital & Critical Talent Group for WashingtonExec. The group provides a forum for Human Capital Executives and designated strategic HR leaders networking and professional development opportunities through round-table discussions, symposiums focused on strategic issues and presentations.
